180718-Yurigahara Park Sapporo

Yurigahara Park, 210 Yurigaharakoen, Kita, Sapporo, Hokkaido 002-8082, Japan
A must to visit during summer if you are a fan of flowers like me.
6 stops from Sapporo Station via JR train.
Googled this park to visit as we were not too impress with the lavenders at Furaro.
Though it is only 6 stops from Sapporo station, the area is already very village feel. We did our recce a day before at about 6pm and realised there are no street lamps leading from the park to station. So we quickly leave the place and visit the next day.

Once we step into the garden, the front may not be too appealing. But when you explore inside the garden, we were amaze by so rows and rows of lilies planted from one stretch to another. The park is huge and there are so many varieties of lilies.
I do not know there are so many kinds of lilies if I did not visit this garden.
Plenty of greenery for us to stroll along this free and beautiful park.
Not forgetting the healthy and big lavenders that surrounds the lilies. The lavenders were much nicer than those in the farm. Maybe, the farm has already harvest them?
You can even view autumn leave in summer here.

Gosh, who would be tired of roses? Look at the rose field and the lavenders. So pretty.

Just when we wanted to leave the park, we come across this section and realised we are into another flowers section, the rose plants. So beautiful.

We came across another English garden after the rose garden. So serene that we do not want to leave this place.
And yes, the only Christmas trees in the garden. I think they are beautiful breed too.
Hokkaido is famous for its sweet corn. While walking from Lily's garden to the train station, we find this corn farm. The plants were so fat and rich.
We spent amost 4 hours here and quite reluctant to leave. Beautiful garden and would think it is a waste of time visiting Furano after here.
